Fun Wall Art from Bright Star Kids (REVIEW)

My son’s room is the room that we painted and decorated when we first found out we were expecting a baby. We painted it yellow and green, added a fun chair rail as well as some gender neutral decor! It was perfect for our baby girl and for our son when he was a baby. Now that he is almost 3, it’s time to “boy it up” with some fun little boy decorations. Bright Star KIds has some really fun Wall Art in the form of Removable Stickers that is just perfect for the job! We chose Super Cars Wall … Continue reading

Preparing for Being in a Wedding: Kara Vita SunDressed® Self Tanner (REVIEW)

I am going to be a Maid of Honour in my sister’s wedding this Thanksgiving weekend and our dresses are short! I started to panic about my white legs. I’m not a fan of tanning beds and I definitely won’t have any colour left from the summer, so I turned to Kara Vita’s SunDressed® Self Tanner for help! Kara Vita’s SunDressed® Self Tanner I was extremely nervous to try it out because I knew a friend in high school who literally turned orange from using a self tanner, but I had to give this product a try as it had … Continue reading

3D Deco Soccer Light (REVIEW and GIVEAWAY)

When I was approached to review the 3D Deco Soccer Light, I honestly wasn’t too sure what to expect. Canadian father, Tom Wegrzyn has done a fantastic job of inventing an environmentally-friendly LED light that is cordless (for safety), but can also be plugged in too. 3D Soccer Ball Night Light This Soccer Ball Light is truly one of the most fun night lights I’ve ever seen! This light is a regulation sized soccer ball that gives the playful appearance that it has been kicked into the wall. It provides a soft glow of light for a child who might … Continue reading

Chicken Soup for the Soul: Inspiration for the Young at Heart (REVIEW)

“Go 60” is what I will remember from the book Chicken Soup for the Soul: Inspiration for the Young at Heart: 101 Stories of Inspiration, Humor, and Wisdom about Life at a Certain Age. The book opens up with a story from a woman who is turning 60 and has challenged herself to do 60 new things the year she turned 60. This short story alone filled me with inspiration! I believe that this book would make a perfect gift for someone’s birthday (perhaps a 60th birthday). I’ve always been a big fan of the Chicken Soup for the Soul … Continue reading

Seventh Generation: Environmentally Friendly Cleaning and Baby Care Products (REVIEW)

I’ve recently been introduced to a brand called Seventh Generation, a brand that truly cares about the environment. Ever since my first child was born, I have become more and more aware of the impact that we have on our environment. I have also made attempts to be conscious of the types of products that I use on and around my children as many products contain harsh chemicals that over time can have a negative impact on their health. Not only have I changed the products that I use (for the most part), but I also have tried to make … Continue reading

KaZAM Balance Bike from thepumpkinpatch.ca (REVIEW)

Learn to ride a bike with NO TRAINING WHEELS! When I was contacted by The Pumpkin Patch to review a KaZAM Balance Bike, I cannot put into words how excited I was! Just the week before, we had taken my son (who was just over 2 1/2) to a store to check out these balance bikes to see what the hype was all about! Right from the start, I liked the unique design of the KaZAM balance bike due to the uniquely designed foot rest! This allows the child to lift their feet up and place them in a natural … Continue reading

Finally Diaper Free Event: Super Undies REVIEW #FDF

This review is part of #FDF (Finally Diaper Free), an event all about Potty Training co-hosted by The Knit Wit. Super Undies are a great way to be Earth Friendly! The Amazing Super Undies Comfortable Design When my son turned two, we couldn’t find a diaper that would not leak during the night. It was at that time, after trying every single diaper out there, that I discovered the beauty of reusable waterproof “underpants”. When I decided that it was time to go diaper free with my son, I knew that I needed something to protect him when we were … Continue reading
