Kids Pop Band: Marlowe and the Mix

Marlowe & the Mix aims to entertain today’s kids in a safe, concert-like forum before they’re old enough to go to a grown-up pop show. The music is targeted towards the 3-10 years of age audience. The idea is that this band provides children with child-friendly music and shows, but are “grown up” enough to not be considered “babyish”. We have a few child pop band group favourites in our house, although my children (aged 4 and almost 8) have outgrown a few of them now (which admittedly saddens me!). Marlowe in the Mix has captured both of my kids’ … Continue reading

@Diamonius Simulated Diamond Jewelry {REVIEW}

I received a couple of simulated diamond rings from Diamonius.com and they are quite possibly some of the most beautiful rings I have ever seen! I received the Adrianna Ring and the Monca Ring. Check out my favourite one here: These rings look real! They are absolutely gorgeous and flashy! The only difference that I can tell is that they feel much lighter than a traditional gold and diamond ring, which isn’t necessarily a bad thing. Diamonius is “dedicated to creating high quality beautifully designed diamond alternative jewelry without the high social and environmental price tags associated with mined diamonds.” … Continue reading

Frugal and Easy Indoor Snow Activities for Kids

Entertaining the kids during the winter months can be a sanity saver but it can also become quite expensive when you are trying to find new activities every week. Finding things that you can do with the supplies you already have on hand saves time – and money. Why not bring the snow indoors for some indoor snow activities? We’ve brought a new element of fun indoors this year when I decided to bring the snow inside and see what we could do with it. Do you have a water table outside? Bring it inside to the basement before the … Continue reading

Baby Sleep Solution: The @ZipadeeZip

This review has been written by Alison, a new Mom! From day one, which was 4 months ago (September 6th to be exact), our daughter HAD to be swaddled in order for her to have a sound sleep. We started with the hospital blanket, moved to the swaddle sacs (basically swaddling done for you with Velcro – less wrestling with technique), then finally graduated to large hand-made flannel blankets when our LO grew out of the others (she’s 16.5 lbs now). Eventually, she began to break out of the swaddle which disrupted her sleep not to mention ours! One morning … Continue reading

Get Fit in 2013 with Help From @CanadianTire {G!VEAWAY}

Many of us start each year off with resolutions. For many people, these resolutions include getting healthier whether it be to lose weight or to get fit or both. Although I don’t personally make resolutions for myself, I do often find the new year to be a good time to restart my habits and to make new routines for myself. Many of these new routines include health related goals. This year, I have started to drink more water, snack less at night and to restart my exercise routine. One of my goals is to start using weights in my weekly … Continue reading
