Book/App Review and #Giveaway: Penelope the Purple Pirate by Melissa Northway

Today I’d like to introduce you to a fun and adventurous children’s story called Penelope and the Purple Pirate by Melissa Northway. Penelope is a girl who enjoys adventures. This story is about a “pirate” adventure that swoops Penelope away from her pending nap time. The story is cute, fun and has no “scary” aspects of pirates. In fact, the pirate faces all have happy faces on them. I even like the fact that there is a positive lesson to be learned in the story about sharing and generosity. The iPhone App is cute and provides educational entertainment for young … Continue reading

Book Review: Howard B. Wigglebottom and the Power of Giving: A Christmas Story

Many children get very wrapped up in the whole notion that they will be receiving gifts during that holidays and they sometimes forget the importance of giving. In my family, we try very hard to stress the importance of giving by talking about it and by also giving to others who are in need through toy donations, food banks and various charities. The book Howard B. Wigglebottom and the Power of Giving: A Christmas Story by Howard Binkow and Susan F. Cornelison is a wonderful story about a bunny rabbit named Howard who forgets about the importance of giving. Howard … Continue reading

Chugginton: The Chugger Championship

Whenever my three year old son and I head to a certain toy store, he always runs to the Chuggington Table to play with the Chuggington Wooden Railway Doubledecker Roundhouse. I’ve tried to read him Chuggington Stories, like this one: however, he always ends up asking to watch a Chuggington DVD instead. The DVDs are so lively, animated and fun! This fall, Chugginton: The Chugger Championship came out on DVD. What a fun DVD. It would definitely make a perfect stocking stuffer this holiday! The DVD features 6 cute stories to enjoy. I like them because they are short and … Continue reading

I like this because that added touch makes … Continue reading

The story behind the name is cute. The name White-o-Coccoli was picked out by the owner’s daughter! When she was just about 2 yrs old her Dad was cooking dinner.
