Our Potty Training Adventure started 2 1/2 weeks ago on Monday August 29th. This post is part of #FDF (Finally Diaper Free), an event all about Potty Training co-hosted by The Knit Wit. It has been exactly two weeks since my son started on the Potty Train! Our Potty Training Essentials: There are a few items that have become essentials around our house over the last couple of weeks! The first item is a potty (we’ve tried the big one and there is not too much interest so far)! So, now we’ve resorted to using 2 little red potties that I bought at Ikea for something like $3 a piece. These seem to … Continue reading

Do You Ever Get Razor Bumps When Shaving?

Do you ever get razor bumps when shaving those particularly sensitive areas? I do; it must be due to my super sensitive skin! Those bumps HURT and they look terrible. When I first started shaving, I did it behind my mother’s back. I tried to tell her that I wanted to shave, but she wouldn’t listen. So, what did I do? I used her razor and a bar of soap. I had NO idea what I was doing; I cut myself, I got razor bumps and I bled! Because of my experience, I promised myself that one day, if I … Continue reading

Finally Diaper Free Guest Post: No Potty, No Cry from @jwarrender #FDF

This post is part of #FDF (Finally Diaper Free), an event all about Potty Training co-hosted by The Knit Wit. I cloth diapered. I’m not telling you that to be all sanctimonious, it’s just part of the story of how my daughter was potty trained. You see, I also work full time outside the home. While I was on Mat Leave the “few extra loads” of laundry that came with cloth diapering weren’t really a big deal. It just fit in to our daily routine. Once I went back to work hauling diapers up and down the stairs became a … Continue reading

Mompact: Moms Supporting Moms What is MomPact? Are you ready to rock this economy? Moms are not only responsible for over 80% of consumer spending, but they are also starting new businesses at a faster rate than any other group. It’s time for moms to support other moms in business the way we do in motherhood. The compassion we feel when we meet a mom in need of encouraging words at the check out line, or struggling to quiet a fussy toddler at a restaurant, is the same kind of compassion and connection moms have in business. We know what … Continue reading

Potty Training: Finally Diaper Free Post #1 (#FDF )

This post is part of #FDF (Finally Diaper Free), an event all about Potty Training co-hosted by The Knit Wit. Wow! Where do I begin? Let me start at the very beginning….. What is #FDF? During the summer, hubby and I were talking about our then 2 year old son about potty training and we both agreed that he was showing signs of readiness. We decided that once our daughter started school, when I had all of my time to devote to potty training, I would take the leap and help him become Diaper Free. I started talking to my … Continue reading
