REVIEW: EcoTraction

We stopped using salt as an ice melter a long time ago as it ruined our pants and when we moved into our current house, the front hall opens up right into our family room, being too close to our dark carpet–too close for stains! Yikes! Next, we started to use ice melter. We buy it in a huge bucket at Costco and for the most part, we like it. It works well, but in the back of my mind, I can’t stop thinking about how it just can’t be good for the environment, our grass or our children (when … Continue reading

REVIEW: Cyber Clean

I am freak! Seriously, I am! I get excited when I learn of a new way to clean things that I wasn’t able to clean before, like the little crevices in between the keys in my computer keyboard, the keys of my telephone and my tv remotes. Those things give me the heebie jeebies and now I’ve been introduced to a new cleaning product that takes all of those yucky things out! Enter: Cyber Clean Seriously folks, this stuff is like my new best friend! I love this stuff. It’s a freakishly flourescent yellow looking compound that reminds me of … Continue reading

REVIEW: Clorox Greenworks Dishsoap and Glass and Surface Cleaner

I was sent a bottle of Clorox Greenworks Dishwashing Liquid and a bottle of Glass and Surface Cleaner to try out. Here is what I found: I enjoyed using this dishwashing liquid because of its natural qualities, however, compared to other brands (the not so natural kind, unfortunately), I did find that I had to use much more in order to cut the grease. However, in the end, this naturally derived dishwashing liquid definitely does the job, you just have to use more of it to get the job done. The Glass and Surface cleaner is deemed safe for glass … Continue reading

REVIEW: Febreeze Home Collection

A little while ago, I received a package of Febreze Home Collection products. I got the Febreze Flameless Luminaire, Febreze Scented Reed Diffuser and Febreze Soy Candle. What I liked most about these products is the look of them. Often products that you can buy from the grocery store to make your home smell more inviting are very, well…plastic looking. You know what I mean? The Febreze Home Collection certainly doesn’t look tacky at all, in my opinion. In fact, they could easily be said to add to the decor of your home with taste. Febreze Home Collection offers some … Continue reading

REVIEW: Febreze Allergen Reducer

Recently we were given a bottle of Febreeze Allergen Reducer to try out. If used as directed, it has been known to reduce 75% of allergens from pollen and dust mites that accumulate and become airborne from fabrics in your home. I have no way of testing exactly how effective the spray was, but I can definitely tell you my thoughts on it! Pros I like how it has a light scent. We aren’t big on overpowering scents in our house. This spray had just the right amount of scent to it, in my opinion It has an easy to … Continue reading

Product Review: Swiffer 360 Dusters

Dusting! I used to HATE dusting. I love to clean, but I’ve never enjoyed dusting. Did you notice I mentioned I used to hate dusting. Hmmmm…enter: Swiffer 360 Dusters! Ironically, my Mom told me about these amazing little dusters a couple of months ago. She swears by them. I was skeptical and couldn’t rationalize having to spend money on disposable dusters. However, I have now eaten my words! Dusting used to take much longer than it does now. With the Swiffer 360 dusters, dusting is quick and simple. The most amazing thing is that the dust STICKS to these dusters … Continue reading

Rubbermaid Produce Savers

We buy a lot of berries in our household–strawberries, blueberries and raspberries are our favourites! I’ve always struggled with how to store them, but I will not struggle any longer! Rubbermaid has come up with a new product called the Produce Saver. It is a specially designed container for storing and keeping produce at its freshest. The containers come with a “Crisp Tray” insert that allows for air circulation underneath the produce in order to keep moisture away from the produce. The lids are also vented in order to allow the produce to breath. Multi-Testing Mommy has put these new … Continue reading
