Book Review: Simply Salad

I received a copy of Simply Salads by Jennifer Chandler for review. Not only did I get some great ideas for some different salads to make, but I also learned how to make my own croutons and salad dressings. I will never, ever buy croutons again! After learning from author Jennifer Chandler how simple it is to make my own, I will always do this instead of buying them. AND, no longer will my stale bread go in my green bin! From now on, whenever bread isn’t moldy but is past the fresh stage, I will follow the instructions in … Continue reading

MTM Recommends Kandoo Products

Kandoo Products have become a staple in our house! We use the pump soap in every bathroom of the house so that my daughter washes her hands properly. I love the fact that the soap comes out in a foam so that it rinses easily off of little hands. The wipes have proved to be very useful in teaching my daughter how to wipe herself after #2. They are small enough for her little hands, they smell great and they make wiping so much easier than using toilet paper. I realize that the wipes aren’t the best for the environment, … Continue reading

Santa Cruz Organics

I have been trying to purchase organic food when it is feasible (due to availability, price and the Dirty Dozen). I was super excited when I received my Santa Cruz Organics products to try out. We were given peanut butter, fruit sauces, chocolate sauce, juice, sodas and juice boxes to test out and most of them have been a huge hit in our house. By far, the biggest hit were the juice boxes. They were the perfect size because I don’t like giving my kids too much juice each day! They also had cute Berenstein Bear characters on them. They … Continue reading

REVEW: Rock ‘N Learn DVDs

Rock n Learn has a huge line of educational videos for children ranging from intro to Kindergarten to multiplication and science. We received a bunch of videos from Rock n Learn a while ago and recently we received Alphabet Exercise and Letter Sounds. My daughter, who is 4, enjoyed watching these dvd’s. I have to say, I found them a little bit on the cheesy side. However, if she enjoys watching something that has an educational side to it, I am all for it! When one of the videos got to the “how to print” section, my daughter was so … Continue reading

Note: If you are looking for the contest, please scroll down to the bottom of this post. I just love adorable clothing for children! When I was approached to review Bees Tees shirts, I was so excited! Not only are these shirts adorable, but they encourage positive character building, which is something that is so important! When my daughter wore her “Bee Kind” t-shirt the other day, she reminded herself throughout the day that she had to be kind to others, something that we have been working on (especially at home with Mommy). What a great way to be reminded … Continue reading

REVIEW: Go Girl

When I was contacted about reviewing a Go-Girl, I will admit that I was definitely intrigued. A GoGirl is a female urination device that allows you to pee while standing up. I giggled to myself as I tried to figure out exactly how to use it, but now that I have used it once, I’m a pro! It’s so simple. This little gadget is so perfect for those of us gals who have difficulty squatting and “aiming”, who camp, who ski and who travel in the car long distances. As well, if you are so inclined to carry it in … Continue reading

Book Review: Baby Smarts

After studying my Bachelor’s Degree in Child Studies, I am especially interested in studies and discussion surrounding the early years and the importance of brain stimulation. Apparently, a baby’s brain is 250% times more active than that of an adult, that is just crazy! I am lucky in that I studied Child Studies, I’ve worked in daycares, I’ve done a ton of babysitting, I was a swim instructor, I taught piano to children and I taught Kindergarten. I’ve had many opportunities to learn games, songs, poems, etc. to do with young children. Having said that, I found that the book … Continue reading
