Recipe: Oatmeal Pancakes

I made these pancakes on Valentine’s Day, cutting them into heart shapes! I made them with the strawberry and banana variation. Multi-Testing Mommy’s Oatmeal Pancakes 2 cups oatmeal2 cups buttermilk1/2 cup flour2 Tbsp sugar (optional)1 tsp baking powder1 tsp baking soda2 eggs, slightly beaten1/4 cup butter, melted (can use even less!) Soak oats and buttermilk up to overnight, as little as 10 minutes. Combine dry ingredients in another bowl. Inexpensive Valentine’s Day Idea

I went to the good old Dollar Store and picked up some inexpensive materials, along with some things we had at home, to make a fun activity for the kids with a Valentine’s theme! Little heart shaped boxes that open up filled with different “noise makers”. I doubled them up so that they could play a little game of “find the matching sound”.
