Halloween Cobweb Sensory and Fine Motor Activity

Buy one of those cobwebs in a bag at the Dollar Store (gotta love Dollar Stores!) and hide creepy creatures inside of it. Boy, was it ever difficult to find creatures that weren’t choking hazards wee ones! Children love to feel, stretch and pull the cobweb apart a hundred times in search for spiders and creepy crawlies galore. Other items, good for older children to find, include pumpkin seeds and Halloween plastic rings. If you’d like to learn how to make Halloween Shakers, check out our Halloween Shakers post.

Blush Tee Shirt Extender (REVIEW)

Do you have the same problem that I do with your shirts and pants? My shirts always seem to short and my pants seem too low and that combination makes my skin show which I’m not comfortable with! Blush Accessories has come up with the best solution! A Tee Shirt Extender. This tube like piece of fabric simply gets worn underneath your shirt, around your waist and hips. It acts as an extension to your t-shirt so that your middle section is covered up. It is shaped like a tube top and is super stretchy and comfortable. The tapered shaped, … Continue reading

How to Make Halloween Shakers

Pink and Green Mama calls her Halloween Shakers “Eye Spy Bottles”–another terrific idea, but we decided to make musical instruments of shakers instead. The kids love these shakers and they are actually one of their favourite toys to play with right now, believe it or not. Mind you, musical instruments in general are definitely a favourite around here–so take that with a grain of salt! Haha! Have a Happy Halloween everyone!!! Do you have any special Halloween plans? I’d love to hear about them. I just love Halloween. Here are our materials all laid out for you. I coloured my … Continue reading

When I heard that Tim Hortons had just started promoting a new dish: Lasagna and Garlic Bread, I will admit to being very intrigued. I love my pasta, that is no secret! And well, me and Tim Hortons coffee, well, we are best friends. So, why not marry the two?! Here’s a funny thing, I asked for my meal “to stay” and the above is what they gave me. If you don’t have time to be creative, but you want to serve a fun and festive snack to your little ones, here’s an idea…. Buy festive icecube trays from your local Dollar Store or this year, I’ve seen them at the Canadian Superstore (Loblaws). Young children just LOVE to get their snack tray filled up with fun little food bits and they feel like a big kid when they carry it by themselves to the table. The trays are so much fun to fill and they portion out the smallest snacks so their tummies don’t get too full. You … Continue reading
