Review: Nurture Pure Glass Baby Bottles

Recently, I have had the chance to review a Nurture Pure glass baby bottle. I have to say that using glass baby bottles does make me feel confident that we are providing my son with a safe material to drink from. There are plenty of bottles out there that are deemed safe and are plastic, but glass is glass. There are no questions about what is in it. The Nuture Pure bottles are specifically made with safety in mind. They are non-toxic and free from chemicals such as Bisphenol A, phthalate and dangerous plastics such as Polycarbonate and PVC. The … Continue reading

I know that the majority of you guys reading this are Moms, but you could technically pass this info along to your hubbies, right? Here are some cute Mother’s Day craft ideas at Kids Craft Magazine. I subscribe to them in my reader and love their adorable ideas for crafts. Product Review: Green Beaver Company

Recently, I was provided with a sample of nursing balm and massage butter from Green Beaver. This company is Canadian and makes products that are 100% NATURAL, BIODEGRADABLE, VEGAN AND GLUTEN-FREE. The products do not contain: Lanolin, petrolatum, mineral oil, paraben or hydantoin preservatives, artificial aromas, fragrances, flavours or dyes, phthalates, quaternium, EDTA, or propylene glycol. After reading their story, I was particularly pleased to learn that their philosophy is that if we cannot eat it, it is not good for our skin. This is so very true! The products that I like the best for my baby are the … Continue reading

Movie Review: The Tale of Despereaux

I was fortunate to receive a pre-release copy of the DVD version of The Tale of Despereaux to be released on DVD on April 7, 2009–that’s tomorrow. As soon as it arrived at our house, my 4 year old daughter was super excited that we got a copy as she had seen commercials for it. I have to say, after having watched it now myself, she is going to have to wait a couple of years for this one. Although it is rated G for a General audience of all ages, I do feel that some of the scenes are … Continue reading

Product Review: MilkBank from DexBaby

Parent Bloggers recently provided me with a really cool bottle and milk storage system made by DexBaby. Yes, these bottles are all free from Phthalates, PVC and BPA, which we all know is a worry these days when it comes to baby products, specifically bottles for our precious little ones. We had the opportunity to review MilkBank’s storage system along with a Vented Feeding Bottle and boy am I ever glad we did. My four month old son is fully breastfed, however, he has taken bottles on the occasion right from birth. With all of the scares due to plastics … Continue reading

REVIEW: Nutrition CD Jump with Jill

My family loves music! Both my husband and I have musical backgrounds and both of us have a dream that our children will share that love with us. Being a former Kindergarten teacher, I also have a secret love for children’s music. I love to sing and children’s songs are so easy to sing along to. Of course, I don’t listen to children’s music by choice unless my children are with me (just had to clarify that). I am always super keen to hear new music that is made for children so when I was contacted about a cd called … Continue reading

I’ve sampled Mama Mio skincare products before, and I’ve been fortunate enough to try out even more! I have to say that using these amazing skincare products is definitely a treat for me. They work so well and smell so yummy. Here are the products that I was lucky enough to try out this time: Shower Cream Body Buff Shrink to Fit Wonderfull Balm I have to say that by far, my most favourite product was definitely the Shrink to Fit cream. It leaves your body tingling for hours after application so I am reminded that it is working hard … Continue reading

Product Review: Baby Bee Diaper Ointment

I was fortunate enough to receive a sample of Baby Bee Diaper Ointment by Burt’s Bees. I love my Burt’s Bees Beeswax Lip Balm, so I was super excited to try out something for Little Man. The vitamin E in the ointment nourishes while zinc oxide and beeswax create a natural barrier to keep baby’s bum as dry as possible. I really like the Diaper Ointment, especially the scent, however unfortunately we tried it out when Little Man was sporting a diaper rash and this didn’t help in getting rid of it. Once his rash was under control, however, this … Continue reading
