REVIEW: Dream Baby Cable Lock and No Tools-No Screws Safety Kit

When I was offered some Dream Baby Safety Supplies for the house, I realized that it couldn’t have come at a better time for us. Little Man isn’t quite walking, but he is crawling, climbing and getting into absolutlely everything imaginable! I received a Cable Lock and a Household Safety Kit in exchange for a review. Although my son isn’t at the age where we need a combination lock on something, my daughter certainly is. This product is great for keeping things like medications locked up from curious children! I love how it is adjustable too, it makes it even … Continue reading

REVIEW: Potty Pony Pals

When my daughter was just starting to potty train, I didn’t like using the traditional pull up diapers (except at night) because I felt like they really weren’t much different than the feel of a diaper and this didn’t give her the feel that she needed. I searched the earth looking for cotton training pants and could only find one type (that worked, but weren’t super). Since then, a company called Potty Pony Pals has approached me and sent me a pair of the Pony Pals in exchange for a review. Although my son isn’t quite ready to start potty … Continue reading

REVIEW: SoCozy Hair Products for Kids

With my daughter going off to JK, the natural breeding ground for lice, I have been particularly interested in hair products that are designed to repel the lice in a natural way. I cringe at the thought of lice. I cringe even more at the thought of having to put really nasty chemicals into my daughter’s hair if she gets lice (please cross your fingers that she doesn’t). I recently discovered a company called So Cozy that makes products for children’s hair called Boo Lice Repel Products. The products contain no harsh chemicals and no parabens. I received two mini … Continue reading

REVIEW: Febreeze Home Collection

A little while ago, I received a package of Febreze Home Collection products. I got the Febreze Flameless Luminaire, Febreze Scented Reed Diffuser and Febreze Soy Candle. What I liked most about these products is the look of them. Often products that you can buy from the grocery store to make your home smell more inviting are very, well…plastic looking. You know what I mean? The Febreze Home Collection certainly doesn’t look tacky at all, in my opinion. In fact, they could easily be said to add to the decor of your home with taste. Febreze Home Collection offers some … Continue reading

REVIEW: Paci Plushies

If only I had known about Paci Plushies when my son was a wee infant! I can’t tell you the number of times we lost a pacifier in the car, under the crib or behind the change table. If we had had a Paci Plushie, we wouldn’t have lost the pacifiers. I honestly think that these little animals that hold a pacifier are the best invention ever! Long gone are the days where you are searching and searching in the dark for a tiny, little pacifier! The animal allows you to keep track of your baby’s pacifier with ease and … Continue reading

Product Review: Dove

Did you know that body washes can be very drying to your skin? Dove has come up with a Body Wash NutriumMoisture™ in order to combat skin dryness. NutriumMoisture body wash products actually nourish and protect your skin in order to prevent excessive drying. It is available in three kinds: Deep Moisture, Sensitive Skin and Gentle Exfoliating. My favourite one was the Exfoliating one simply because I like the feel of exfoliating beads on my skin. However, all three body washes cleaned really well, formed a nice lather and had a nice, light scent to them. I definitely found that … Continue reading

BOOK REVIEW: The Power of Your Child’s Imagination

When I was offered a review copy of the book The Power of Your Child’s Imagination by Charlotte Reznick, I was thrilled because I needed some new strategies under my belt to help my daughter through this challenging time in her life. I am happy to say that I have gained strategies to use with her for this separation anxiety that she has been experiencing and then some. This book deals with specific issues such as: * Stress-induced headaches and stomach aches * Phobias, panic attacks, and social anxiety* Bed-wetting and sleepless nights * Separation anxiety and fear of the … Continue reading

REVIEW: Tie Buddies

With my daughter starting Junior Kindergarten, I was super excited when we received a pair of Tie Buddies to test out! She doesn’t wear lace up shoes yet, but she soon will and I figured we would start to learn now. Much to my chagrin, my daughter has NO interest in learning how. Why learn how to tie shoes when she can wear velcro ones that are super easy, right?! Kids can be lazy little things sometimes 🙂 Anyhow, although I cannot specifically say how these little inventions worked for us, I will say that I think they are an … Continue reading

ABC Gauze

Recently I received a sample of this amazing product called ABC Gauze. I’ve had it for about a month now and luckily haven’t had an opportunity to use it, but trust me…I’m not complaining about that. I want to tell you about this awesome product, however! I have packed on in my car and one in my first aid bin. Putting one in my diaper bag might not be such a bag idea either, come to think of it! Basically, this is a gauze that is applied to a bleeding wound and immediately after application, it turns into a clear … Continue reading

REVIEW: Nestea Vitao

You may have seen commercials on tv for the new Nestea Vitao drinks?! I had and so I was super excited to get my own samples to try out. We got all three flavours to test out: NESTEA Vitao™ Fuji Apple Green Tea is made from premium whole leaf green tea to extract the plentiful natural tea antioxidants. This light, refreshing tea taste is sweetened with crisp Fuji apple flavour. NESTEA Vitao™ Açai Blueberry Red Tea is made from the South African Red Bush – rooibos. This mellow tea taste is sweetened with the subtle berry flavours of exotic acai … Continue reading
