Sands Alive

I am SO excited to bring to you this Sands Alive Giveaway! Over the Christmas break, I went to a party with some of my high school friends. One of the highlights for me, aside from visiting with old friends, was being introduced to a new activity for my children: Sands Alive!. The friend of mine who introduced me to it actually brought some out for us to touch and everyone in the room was floored with how amazing it felt! I was immediately convinced that my children would absolutely LOVE it! About a month later, I came across a … Continue reading

Filling Your Child’s Emotional Bucket

Have you ever heard of the book How Full Is Your Bucket?   I gave this book to my daughter a few years ago in hopes to increase her self esteem and the concept has fortunately stuck with both of my children! The basic idea is that we all have an emotional bucket and in any given moment, we have the opportunity to fill up someone’s bucket or empty someone’s bucket. We fill up buckets with kindness, appreciations, positive words, encouragement etc. and we empty buckets by using put downs, insults, teasing and negative thoughts. It is such a … Continue reading

Frozen Bubbles Outdoor Activity for Kids

This winter has been an abnormally cold one here in Ontario. Because of this, the kids have not had the same opportunities to play outside in the snow as they typically do during the winter months. One particularly cold day, I noticed a friend’s status on Facebook, sharing these BEAUTIFUL frozen bubbles that she made with her kids that day. We talked back and forth and she shared that it took her a few tries before she perfected the recipe. For the recipe for Outdoor Frozen Bubbles, visit Science4MyKids.com. Here are My Notes:In order for this activity to work, it … Continue reading

Bathroom Routine Help from @TodaysParent {#Giveaway} #PGMom

Potty training can provide parents with a great deal of stress! Questions that often get asked: When is my child ready? How long will it take? What products are out there to help my child potty train? My daughter trained herself before she turned two! One day, she just decided she was done with wearing diapers and we never turned back. Within a very short time, she was fully trained both night and day. It was a breeze and stress free. My son, on the other hand, has had a much different experience and still isn’t trained at night at … Continue reading
