Children Aren’t Cheap!

I recently had a conversation with a dear friend of mine about how much money our children cost. She said that, as a first time Mom, she was expecting the first year of her daughter’s life to cost a fair amount of money because they started off with nothing for children, but she expected the years after that to not be so bad. Being a Mom to a 4 year old and newly turned 8 year old, I can say that from our experience, the cost has not gone down, rather it has done the opposite! The financial commitment to … Continue reading

How to Find Stats for Pageviews Using Google Analytics

Often when first making contact with a company, the topic of blog statistics will be discussed. There are many different tools that a blogger can use to track their stats, but one of the most common, trusted and accurate sources is Google Analytics. If you do not have this set up on your blog, be sure to go do that now! I remember when I first started blogging, I relied (happily) on my “in-house” blogger stats. I quickly learned that these stats were FAR from accurate which naturally upset me because they were much higher than my true stats. Two … Continue reading

Give an Elegant, Stylish and Functional Mother’s Day Gift from Parker Pens {G!VEAWAY}

Back in December, I shared with you the story about my special Parker Pen when I was a child. That special silver pen is a memory that I will carry with me always and now, I have a new Parker Pen which I am so excited about as I do miss my old pen. Somewhere along the way, it got misplaced for good, which makes me so sad because I know if I had it today, it would still be going strong! I received a Classic Metallic Pink Lacquer with a Satin Finish Parker IM Pen to review recently and … Continue reading

Planning Financially for Our Childrens’ Future

There are two schools of thought (haha – no pun intended, honest!) when it comes to who should pay for your childrens’ future education. Do you:a) Save like crazy so that you can pay for their education, knowing it is such an important part of their future and they cannot possibly pay for it all by themselves. ORb) Do you have them save their own money and figure out a way to pay for themselves? Ok, there is a third way: a little bit from column a and a little bit from column b. This is where my hubby and … Continue reading

Ideas for Celebrating Earth Day with Children

Happy Earth Day!I was inspired to share with you some ideas for how to celebrate Earth Day with your children because there are so many wonderful ideas out there! It is so important that we teach our children to take care of our earth. We want our children to be happy and healthy and to be able to have happy and healthy children themselves. The best way we can do this is by setting an example ourselves, but there are also some more specific things that we can teach our children. One way to get our children excited about recycling … Continue reading

i Learn With Bo: Nutrition and Healthy Eating! APP for Kids!

This app for children aged 3-6 has been developed in order to help children become more active and aware of their own health and what better character to guide children through this app than Kids’ CBC star, “Bo on the Go”.When my daughter was 2.5 – 4, she LOVED watching the tv show Bo on the Go. I loved that it was one of the few television shows that actually got my daughter up and moving. Bo is such a lively, upbeat and great role model for young children and I am so excited to see her featured in an … Continue reading
