Product Review: Green Beaver Company

Recently, I was provided with a sample of nursing balm and massage butter from Green Beaver. This company is Canadian and makes products that are 100% NATURAL, BIODEGRADABLE, VEGAN AND GLUTEN-FREE. The products do not contain: Lanolin, petrolatum, mineral oil, paraben or hydantoin preservatives, artificial aromas, fragrances, flavours or dyes, phthalates, quaternium, EDTA, or propylene glycol. After reading their story, I was particularly pleased to learn that their philosophy is that if we cannot eat it, it is not good for our skin. This is so very true! The products that I like the best for my baby are the … Continue reading

Product Review: Swiffer 360 Dusters

Dusting! I used to HATE dusting. I love to clean, but I’ve never enjoyed dusting. Did you notice I mentioned I used to hate dusting. Hmmmm…enter: Swiffer 360 Dusters! Ironically, my Mom told me about these amazing little dusters a couple of months ago. She swears by them. I was skeptical and couldn’t rationalize having to spend money on disposable dusters. However, I have now eaten my words! Dusting used to take much longer than it does now. With the Swiffer 360 dusters, dusting is quick and simple. The most amazing thing is that the dust STICKS to these dusters … Continue reading

Product Review: MilkBank from DexBaby

Parent Bloggers recently provided me with a really cool bottle and milk storage system made by DexBaby. Yes, these bottles are all free from Phthalates, PVC and BPA, which we all know is a worry these days when it comes to baby products, specifically bottles for our precious little ones. We had the opportunity to review MilkBank’s storage system along with a Vented Feeding Bottle and boy am I ever glad we did. My four month old son is fully breastfed, however, he has taken bottles on the occasion right from birth. With all of the scares due to plastics … Continue reading

Product Review: Baby Bee Diaper Ointment

I was fortunate enough to receive a sample of Baby Bee Diaper Ointment by Burt’s Bees. I love my Burt’s Bees Beeswax Lip Balm, so I was super excited to try out something for Little Man. The vitamin E in the ointment nourishes while zinc oxide and beeswax create a natural barrier to keep baby’s bum as dry as possible. I really like the Diaper Ointment, especially the scent, however unfortunately we tried it out when Little Man was sporting a diaper rash and this didn’t help in getting rid of it. Once his rash was under control, however, this … Continue reading

Product Review: Cover Plug

With the recent birth of my son, I’m finding myself becoming quickly reminded how we have become much more relaxed about the use of child safety products (in some areas) in our house. An example is that we leave the baby gate open most of the time now, except at night time. One thing that I never did give up on are the electrical plug outlets. The majority of outlets that are in sight are covered. We have tried a few different kinds and I have never been fully happy with any of them. Most of them are difficult to … Continue reading

Being a former Kindergarten teacher, you had to expect that I would jump on the opportunity to review the Preschool Language and Literacy calendar that is put out by The Hanen Centre for the past five years. The Hanen Centre is a not for profit charitable organization that has been around for years. The centre educates teachers, parents and caregivers in helping them promote language development during every day activities. They share information with professionals who deal with teachers and parents.
