Save Your Children From a Tipping TV with @SanusSystems {G!VEAWAY}

We’ve written in the past about how important it is to keep your kids safe from tipping tvs! A few weeks ago while I was watching my daughter at dance class, when all of a sudden, there was a HUGE crash in the area beside us. I went running, to find a little boy (around the age of 2) lying on the ground with his leg pinned underneath a tv cart and a tv lying beside him. Thankfully, he was ok! He was extremely lucky that the entire tv didn’t land on top of him. Kids are curious creatures and … Continue reading

Please Be Sure to @boatSMART This Summer! {#G!VEAWAY}

Every single summer, from the time that I was an infant, I have spent a part, if not all, of my summers up at the cottage. At first, my parents rented a cottage and when I was in grade nine, they were so fortunate to have the opportunity to purchase their own place on the same lake that we had grown to love. The cottage is a part of me and I couldn’t imagine a summer without at least one trip up there. One of my favourite activities up at the cottage is to go in the boat. I still … Continue reading

Hooked On Hostas

Recently , we shared a gardening idea called “Thrill, Fill and Spill”. There were hostas as well as annual begonia, impatiens and becopa in the pot arrangement. Choosing white flowers makes them pop in the shade. A bit of morning sun and then shade during the hot afternoon sun keeps them thriving. When the hosta flower starts to die, just cut it off at the base. The leaves are the main event anyway.The hostas can be removed in the fall and planted in the garden. It is very convenient to have them when there is little selection at the garden … Continue reading

Google Nexus 7 {REVIEW}

Before I start my review of the Google Nexus 7, I have to confess that I am fully immersed in the iOS (that’s Apple iPhone and iPad) ecosystem. I’m also an electrical engineer by trade, with a lot of programming under my belt. So… yeah. This isn’t going to be your typical Multi-testing Mommy review. Sorry about that. The Google Nexus 7 is an Android tablet running Jellybean. Mine shipped with 4.1.1, but was clamoring for an update as soon as it could access the internet, after which it was 4.2.2, which is the latest version as of this writing. … Continue reading

It’s About the Little Things in the @FordCanada #Explorer

Back in June, Ford provided me with a 2013 Ford Explorer Sport for a week. As you know, I love to test out new wheels, who wouldn’t, right? But, it is also my way of finding the best suited vehicle for my family of four as our current vehicle has caused us some challenges recently! It was an amazing opportunity for me as this vehicle used to be my dream vehicle when I was much younger. This was my first time ever driving a Ford Explorer and admittedly, I was surprised with how BIG it felt. It wasn’t a bad … Continue reading
