Not only do we have to get our children ready for back to school, but there are certain things that we as Moms need to do to get ready for the upcoming school year too!
Back to School Supplies featured in the image above:
- Motherword Magnetic Calendar
- Five Star Boomerang Binder
- Perfect for your Purse Graphic Notebook
- Enviro Recycled Notebook
- Magazine Box
- Five Star Storage Pocket & Dry Erase (magnetic for locker)
- Five Star Tri-Pocket (magnetic for lockers)
- Small Supply Pouch
ACCO Brands include Hilroy and many other popular school supply brands. Everything from calendars to binders to paper and organizational products and more are available to get you and your family ready for school this year!
The following items have helped me to get organized on the home front:
- A magazine box to organize important documents.
- Magnetic Storage Pockets on the side of th fridge to hold writing utensils.
- Motherword Magnetic Calendar to organize all family member events, activities and appointments. Each family member receives a different coloured marker to easily keep track of all events at a quick glance.
These Back to School supplies are available at various stores including Staples, Target and Walmart.

I accidentally discovered that my new EPIPEN fits perfectly into a small supply pouch from Hilroy. This protects the EPIPEN and also makes it easily accessible. For children who have allergies, parents can place an emergency card with all of their important information in the front slide in area.
This year, I am excited to announce that Me to We back to school products from Acco Brands Canada are available exclusively at Staples. One lucky reader will receive a Me to We Prize Pack from Acco Brands Canada right here on Multi-Testing Mommy! This prize pack includes: 1 backpack, 1 zipper binder, 1 pencil pouch, 1 notebook, 3 pocket & prong portfolios, 1 pencil, 1 sticky notes, 1 water bottle and 1 lunch bag (total value of approximately $100).

This would go to my daughter who is entering grade 3.. already all worked up over the grade 3 testing too.. really not happy with the school ugh….
That stinkin’ test jaded my daughter’s entire year last year, she was SO anxious about it. BUT in the end, she still had a great year. Here is a piece I wrote about handling the anxiety that comes with the EQAO testing.. http://www.multitestingmommy.com/2014/05/test-anxiety.html
thank you going to read it now.. I think I read it last year as well… but it never pertained to Miss K so it didn’t stick with me I’m sure. I’m just pee’d off this has over shadowed her entire summer. They made good and sure to tell them at the end of school LAST year.. stressing how important it is they do well.. we’ve been telling her it’s not different then any other test or exam she’s going to have to do in school, she should approach them all with such concern.. just not for 3 months before the fact………….. thanks for the link to the article, reading now!
Yes I had read it!! Re read it again and jotted down some tips.. thanks girlie..I had no idea it was 5 friggin’ days long…… ugh!
Yes, it was a LONG week!!!
it’s been a long 3 months.. this past week she has stepped up her game in chatting about it.. I told her last night while she was bathing that I do love she’s concerned, it shows me she cares, cares about how well she does, cares about doing well.. it’s important to approach every challenge with that same type of feeling.. but not to where she’s worrying about it months in advance. My girl doesn’t handle change or unorganization very well (except her room, it’s ok you can’t see the floor in there 1/2 the time). I just want to slap her teacher for this….this is not something that she should’ve had to have on her mind all summer long.
I fully agree that she shouldn’t have had to think about it all summer. I feel badly for her. I know my daughter spent her whole 2nd grade year with her teacher hanging EQAO over her head.
Such nonsense… I told her it’s more of a test for the teachers and the school.. to make sure they are teaching the children properly and they are learning as they should… I don’t know what more to do about it.. I don’t even know when it is… my luck at the END of the freakin year

My grandson Silas preschool!
My son – he’s going into kindergarten
This would go to my son who is entering Grade 6 this year. This will be a challenging year for him as he should be starting Grade 5 this year and he has had difficulty every year in school due to the fact he is behind but the school boards wont allow leaving behind a grade. Hoping that it catches up to him so he doesnt feel like a failure in the higher grades. This would be great for his self esteem.
Oh dear, why is he ahead of where is supposed to be? My thoughts are with you. If you ever want an extra person to bounce ideas around for ways to support your son, please feel free to email me! I love to help parents help their children.

I am going back to school. Upgrading my skills, so I would use this.
Wonderful! What are you taking?
I’m a RPN, so I am expanding my skill set. I hope to each HCA’s in the near future. This will take me out of the front line and allow my body to take a break. I’ve been nursing for 35 years, and it’s getting harder to get up in the mornings. (I’m 55 now)
I should be politically correct, they are now called PSW’s. My apologies. I’m still old school.
Well, well wishes to you in your studies! Nursing is a hard career! I have a lot of respect for you. I did a placement on a paediatric wing when I was at the University of Guelph, working with Child Life and I learned a whole new respect for nurses!!!
My son is going to grade 1. First time he will be in school all day
