In the fall of 2014, our family made a shift in the types of products that we use. This shift started years ago, but it became official when I started to remove almost all chemical cleaners from my home. I began thinking that not only did I want harsh cleaning chemicals OUT of my house, but it became very important to change the types of products that we were using on our bodies too. The skin on our body is our largest organ and it soaks in everything. Because of this, I am always reading ingredients carefully and becoming more and more educated about how various ingredients can affect our health and our bodies.
Shampoo and conditioner are products that I have had a difficult time replacing. I have tried many all natural products and have yet to find one that I have completely fallen in love with as I find that they just don’t perform anywhere near the same as the traditional ones.
As soon as my ten year old daughter saw the bottles of Whole Blends shampoo and conditioner arrive in our house, she was excited to try them out. She was intrigued by the name and wanted to know more about the product, as did I. We were both happy to read that they are Paraben Free, they contain Natural Extracts and they use gentle sulfates. These products are a safer alternative for the whole family (obviously not babies or children who aren’t ready to use regular shampoo and conditioner).
What I like about the Garnier Whole Blends Repairing Shampoo and Conditioner:
- paraben free formula
- blended with select ingredients that give back and are purchased fairly and sustainable to support local farmers and communities
- made of recyclable PET plastic with 30% Post-Consumer Recycled waste
- produced in a facility committed to sustainability, reducing its waste and water consumption per unit by approximately 58% and 47% since 2005
After using this shampoo and conditioner just one time, I can notice a difference in how my hair feels. While using it, I could tell how clean my hair was getting with the rich lather of the shampoo. The conditioner is very thick and coated my hair nicely. I could also feel the difference in my hair while I was blow-drying and styling it as it was much easier to work with. And itโs good to know that each blend focuses on a unique hair action for different results.
