Strawberry Cream Cheese Dip Fun! {Giveaway}

My daughter and I went to see the Advanced Screening of Cinderella in Toronto. When we left the movie, we learned that Goldfish now come in Princess crackers. What does that mean? The same great taste of Goldfishยฎ crackers in a FUN, PINK colour! Let me just share with you that my nieces all had a wonderful time eating their pink snack and my son loved the same great taste that he is used to for his favourite snack!

Goldfish crackers are a staple in my house. I remember a time when my son and I would drop my daughter off at the bus and he would come home insisting that he wanted “fishy crackers” (pronounced more like fishy “cackers”) for breakfast. I also have a little friend who knows me as “the Goldfish lady” because whenever I see him, I either have a bag of Goldfish in my purse, or he knows that we ALWAYS have Goldfish crackers in our snack cupboard!

My daughter just turned 10 at the end of March and as part of her birthday celebration, we did something a wee bit fun and out of the ordinary! We ate PINK Goldfish crackers with “fancy dip”. Now, get ready to put on your critical glasses, because I know some of you are going to think I have lost my mind. BUT, cut this Mama some slack please! My daughter turned 10! This was a reason to celebrate, don’t you think?

So, I made some Strawberry Cream Cheese Dip. Ok, ok, it’s confession time. My dip was actually icing, BUT there were real strawberries in the icing, that makes it a tiny bit healthier, doesn’t it?
Strawberry Cream Cheese Dip

Strawberry Cream Cheese Dip Recipe:

  1. Wash and puree 5 medium sized strawberries.
  2. Blend together (I use a stand mixer, but you could use a hand blender) 4 Tbsp of room temperature butter, 8 oz room temperature cream cheese, 1 tsp vanilla, the pureed strawberries and approximately 3 1/2 cups of icing sugar (powdered sugar).
  3. You may wish to add a small amount of milk to achieve a desired consistency.

Pair this delicious, sweet dip with some salty Goldfish crackers and it is a match made in heaven for children (and Mommies too, I will admit it!).

Add a magic wand and some Cinderella magic and we pulled together a super fun birthday party treat, don’t you think?
