When I was young we used to walk over to the Canadian Tire all the time and look at the toys while my Mom would buy things that she needed. One time, I saw a stuffed Dino (From The FlintStones) and it was about 3 feet tall, which at the time was as tall as I was. I happened to have money that I got for my birthday and it was the same amount as this Dino.
My Mom let me buy it, but I had to carry it home. I swear it wasn’t heavy when I picked it up, but by the time I got it home (less than 5 minutes walk now), my arms were so tired. We took a lot of breaks, but I loved him.
I played with him for many, many years, and I still think back to him all those years ago. I didn’t save him, or any of my toys from when I was a kid, since I ended up moving a lot over the years. I ended up purging as we moved. Of course, most of my favourite things were Barbie, and very girly and I have three boys now.
I do love that my sister’s boys (who are teens) saved a bunch of their toys for when my kids would be able to play with them. We received a ton of Thomas & Friends tracks and toys for them to play with. They love watching the boys play with their old beloved toys, and I do too. I remember my nephews playing with them, so it’s awesome to see my boys play with them now.
My youngest still loves his Thomas train sets. If you have a little one that loves Thomas too, then you should enter the giveaway below!
All you have to do is share a picture of your little one with their favourite Thomas & Friends item (doesn’t matter if it’s a toy, t-shirt, backpack, book, or whatever). Just like I did:
