There is NO Such Thing as a Stupid Question #ShineStrong {Giveaway} #PGMom

ERASE the phrase “Stupid Question” from your vocabulary!

In this day and age, it is even MORE important that we raise our daughters to be strong and confident! They are faced with so many challenges growing up. I want my daughter to be confident (but not TOO confident) and to have personal strength. I want her personality to shine out upon the world and for it to land upon many smiling faces.

I feel the need to add a side note here…
There are SO many amazing campaigns like this, surrounding women and girls, I want to express the importance of our boys growing up to SHINE STRONG too! They also face challenges, just different ones and it is important that parents help them become confident contributors to our world too.

I digress…..I don’t remember a lot from my childhood, but one thing that I DO remember is my parents teaching me that there is NO such thing as a stupid question…EVER! If you aren’t sure about something, you should feel confident enough to ask so that you do understand and if anyone laughs at you for it, you can feel good about yourself because you had the courage and strength to ask. This is something that I have tried to teach my children.

There is NO such thing as a stupid question in my books. If you are unsure, it is always better to ask! Be strong and be yourself and you will succeed.

This is a great video – except I don’t even like to hear the mention of a “stupid question”, even if it is to make a point…

I agree that there is no such thing as a ‘stupid question.’ I think every educator should be teaching his/her stufents. Many people do not want to be the one asking obvious questions. They do not want to ‘lose’ face. This attitude shows lack of confidence and greatly hinders the learning process. Kudos to you.

You are fortunate to have had parents that allowed you to ask anything, believing there was no such thing as a stupid question. I cannot claim the same, however, with our daughter, anything was up for grabs vis-a-vis questions.

    • I am very fortunate that my parents taught me that, yes. Although admittedly, I didn’t always feel comfortable asking them all questions! It was more in life and in school πŸ™‚
