On a hot summer day, or even at night when you are sitting outside enjoying the nice, beautiful summer weather, why not enjoy a refreshing Homemade Iced Coffee? I love brewing coffee with my Keurig coffee maker because each cup is freshly made and is fully brewed in seconds!
You can serve it in a fun way with a fancy pitcher, a tray, some fun straws and I always like to add a bit of flare with fancy, shaped coffee ice cubes.
Are you like me? I LOVE my coffee, but on the hot days of summer, I often crave that afternoon coffee but find myself over-heating? I have the solution for you! Have you ever considered trying to make yourself an iced coffee? They have all of the coffee goodness in a cool and refreshing way and they are super easy to make, especially when you brew them by the cup using a Keurig maker and Keurig K-cups.
First off, brew some coffee with the amazing convenience of a Keurig coffee maker. My husband gave me mine for Valentine’s Day a few years ago and I have to say it is one of the best Valentine’s Day gifts ever! While it has nothing to do with romance, it has to do with me, as I love my coffee and it was the most thoughtful gift ever.

- 1 K-cup
- a few ice cubes
- cream or sugar to taste
- Brew a cup of coffee using your Keurig machine.
- Reserve 1/2 of the coffee to make ice cubes.
- Place remaining coffee in your refrigerator for 30 minutes or more.
- Once coffee has cooled and ice has been made, mix the two together and add any cream or sugar necessary to bring it to your desired taste.
Tip: If you like flavour to your iced drinks, consider brewing a flavoured K-cup. I wouldn’t have it any other way!
Aren’t you tempted to make some Homemade Iced Coffee now?

Sounds delicious. I don’t have a Keurig but hopefully will get one for Christmas as I’ve asked for one.
I just bought a Keurig for my younger brother to take back to university….I’ll have to pass this on, he loves iced coffee!
What a thoughtful gift, Laurie! There are lots of fun drinks your brother can make π
How smart to make the coffee ice cubes! And use flavoured coffee! I don’t really like the flavoured ones for hot coffee but now I’ll have to order some…love this idea π
Thank you so much for your kind words, Andrea! When you use the coffee ice cubes, they don’t dilute the drink! I need my coffee as strong as I can get it!
I love making my own ice coffee too and I fill 1 or 2 small mason jars for through out the day!
Mason jars are such a creative and fun way to drink from, aren’t they?
They are! I also found mason jar lids with a hole and it comes with a straw! It makes it even more convenient. =)
I have a machine and needed a recipe going to try it like and Ice Capp, thanks!
