If you were to ask me what the biggest struggle we have in our house with regards to routines is, hands down it would be about sleep! From the moment my daughter was born, she hasn’t been a good sleeper. She was WIDE AWAKE screaming for her first 12 hours of life and the struggles continued on throughout her infant years and continues to this day, at the age of nine. Of course, we have tried all of kinds of tricks, some of them have worked and some of them haven’t, but at the end, she continues to have a difficult time with sleep. I believe a HUGE part of her difficulties are due to the fact that she has difficulty turning her brain off, to put it into rest and relaxation mode.
I am VERY excited to announce that I have been introduced to Homeopathic Treatments from Orange Naturals. Orange Naturals has just released a new Homeopathic line-up of products. These products are gentle yet strong enough to actually work! Many of the Orange Naturals Kid’s products are PTPA Approved and address all of the common issues that children have from coughs and colds to sleep to digestive issues and more.
It is very important that we start the school year off right! In our family that means we need to get a good amount of sleep. Without proper sleep, we are left to being over-tired, irritable, frustrated and foggy. Luckily, Orange Naturals has a few solutions that we will be trying out.
Feel free to sign up for the Naturally at Home newsletter that is full of health tips, tricks, recipes, and of course, real people and real stories!
Start bedtime routines an hour before bed – while this isn’t always possible, it helps children to take the cue that it is time to wind down, providing them with ample time to do all of the necessary steps to getting ready for bed.
Pick an order and stick to it – children thrive on routine and routines are made up of consistency and order. Try to do the same things in a similar order every night. This way, there is never a question or an opportunity for struggle when the routine is predictable.
Consider an Orange Naturals Homeopathics to help at bedtime – Sleep Tight for kids helps to promote healthy sleep and wake cycles in children, has a calming and relaxing effect and relieves sleeplessness and an overactive mind.

My son too, was always a poor sleeper.
Now we’ve got to return to routine for the start of school. I suspect the first week back of early mornings will set the bedtime back into place.
Interesting about the homeopathic remedy.
Cheers.
We are trying to get back into a routine before school starts too.
Good luck, Amy!
Sleep routine is always the hardest to keep but is probably the most important!
I wish they had this product when my kids were little, but my niece could sure use this for her little guy, he’s not a good sleeper at all!
They are always coming out with something new, aren’t they?!
Very interesting. My daughter has always been a little night owl. She is 10 now and still fights me to go to sleep. I give her two melatonin right now,but think I will see if our natural food store has this. Thanks for the info.

Thanks this seems awesome! Now that its the end of the summer Ive got my daughter going to bed by 8:20pm, But we need to be down to 730PM for school which is gonna be tricky. May have to check them out. I’m more interested in homeopathic ways to boost immune system tho. She has never been in a setting with other children not even daycare. I’m thinking she’s gonna be qite sick this year :/
Back to school sleep routines can be so hard after having 2 months off. I had never heard of this stuff but love the natural aspect of it. Thanks for sharing:)
I agree that it’s difficult for kids to reschedule their bodies for back-to-school, and on the news last night there was a study that recommended that schools should open later, allowing kids to get more sleep. We’ll see over time where that research goes…
Very interesting – I would FULLY agree with this for high schools!
This would be terrific for my grand children, who all start school this Thursday. They need a good sleep, in order to have a great day at school. Thank you for posting this! 🙂
My pleasure, Karen!
This will for sure…Thanks for sharing:)
I am planning to try Sleep Tight with my family as well. Welcome to the program, Amanda!!
Thank you, Pam!
I told my daughter about this and she is going to give this a try
Oh good! I hope they help.
