We chose a few linked up crafts from last week to share with you here today as we believe they would make fun activities for a rainy day. These summer craft ideas for kids really would be fun any time during the year!
Summer Crafts for Kids
- Have you ever read Brown Bear, Brown Bear, What Do You See by Eric Carle? It is one of my FAVOURITE books and children love it too as it reads REALLY well as a read aloud book due to the rhyming and rhythm of the text. On a rainy day, why not head to the library, take out this book and then make Brown Bear Hand Puppets afterwards as a follow up activity. This idea comes from An Idea on Tuesday, a blog that shares many kid friendly crafts and activities.
- Why not take a teaching moment and learn about reusing and recycling and then create some beautiful
Embossed Tin Art. This idea comes from babbledabbledo, a blog that shares many educational and fun ideas for children. - Children LOVE to make collections. Why not collect wine bottle corks and create a beautiful Wine Cork Creation using corks and your child’s imagination. This idea comes from Mosswood Connections, a blog that shares many educational ideas for children.
TIP: If you don’t have access at home to wine bottle corks, why not head to your local bar or restaurant and ask them to save you a few?
Last week on Multi-Testing Mommy, I opened up about my true thoughts on some controversial parenting topics. I would love for you to chime in on the discussion on my post about Parenting in the Modern World.
