Did you know that October 5th, 2013 is Star Wars Reads Day?!

What does this mean for you? It allows anyone who is a Star Wars fan to get excited about reading, which as we know for our young children is SO important! Many children are not motivated to read, but all it takes is a topic that excites them and all of sudden there is instant interest.

I wrote a post about literacy and motivation this summer. My son is starting to really become an early reader, but he does still need encouragement. If I put a Star Wars book in front of him, his face literally lights right up, instantly!

    My favourite characters are Hans and Chewy. I would give this book to my nephew. His favourites are Chewy and R2D2. His big brothers favourites are Luke and CP3O. I’m sure they would both love this book!
