When I first moved out on my own, I found a long handled cleaning “poof” that made cleaning the bath tub and shower SO much easier! I am ashamed to admit that I just got rid of that poof last week because I FINALLY found a replacement for it! This Rubbermaid Extendable Scrubber. Up until now, nothing on the market (that I could find) even compared. This tool makes cleaning hard to reach places and traditionally back breaking jobs so much easier.
For me, it’s all about the detail brush that tucks away in this scrubber! The scrubber is amazing on its own, don’t get me wrong, but that detail brush has come in handy when cleaning around the edges of our sinks and in the tile grout! The bristles are super strong and stand up to the toughest of jobs!
I love the fact that Rubbermaid truly has thought of everything! I found this brush to be especially helpful when I did want to get down on my hands and knees and give the tub a real, good scrub! The flexibility of this brush allowed me to scrub the contoured sides of the bath tub much easier than with a traditional flat brush.
I love this option, to put cleaning product (or even water) into my scrubber! This makes tough to clean jobs easier to clean without needing another product at my side.
Once again, Rubbermaid doesn’t forget every detail! Of course, we need our options when cleaning and they have come up with four types of interchangable pads for all of our cleaning needs. I think in my ideal world, I’d have at least two cleaning tools on the go, each with a different type of cleaning pad! But, if I only had one, it is great to know how easy it is to switch them out!

Wait until the kids are asleep. Otherwise it’s like trying to shovel snow during a blizzard.
We use our Rubbermaid wet mop all the time to clean up grime around the kitchen and mud room
We just do a little bit each day and make sure we clean up after ourselves as we go.
I drop my standards. I just can’t keep up with everything over the holidays so I do a little less cleaning. I’m pretty organized generally so this helps.

It’s hard to keep the house spotless during the holidays. I’m constantly picking up

I used to say to the kids, “Christmas doesn’t start until this place is clean!” It was just as much an incentive for me to clean up, as it was for the kids, because Momma needs her Christmas!
Pick up after yourself. When you leave a room take something with you that belongs in another room and put it away.
I try to clean one section each day so that I don’t have to spend a lot of time in one day to clean the whole house.
commit to 15 minutes of ‘surface cleaning’ each day and pick 1 day a week to do the full-meal-deal cleaning.

Always clean up as you go, never leave anything for later because it piles up fast.
i always clean as i make the mess, and have the kids do the same. there is so much extra stuff around so we really have to stay on top of it all
clean as you go as much as possible
clean as soon as you see something that needs to be cleaned … clean as you go!
Do one area at a time.

Clean the mess as it’s happening and clean a part of the house each day instead of trying to do it all at once in a rush.
I do some every day so it never gets overwhelming.
put a garbage bin in every room in the house!

Delegate and splurge on a maid for one day.
I do a big clean about 2 weeks before xmas , so any day now, so that over the holidays we are clean and organized and I have always felt you should go into the new year clean and tidy, sets the tone for the next year lol
I have one day a week even normally that I do a really good clean. Other than that I have to run the vacuum every day with my 3 boys and do the dishes. One tip my mom always said to me was “If you only have time to do a few things always keep your floors clean, make sure the dishes are done, and make sure the beds are made” Seriously, you can walk into a clean kitchen but if there are dishes piled up in the sink it just doesn’t look as clean. Not that I judge but it’s true isn’t it?
My tip for keeping the house in shape for and during the holidays is simply to clean as I go.
Its basic but it works.

Do your best to tidy up each day that way all you have to do is straighten up and clean the bathroom on the big day.
Play zone defense. Concentrate on one cleaning task at a time – vacuuming, declutter, dusting, etc.
we remove all unnecessary toys and clutter away in rubbermaid bins when we take the tree down, then do a quick clean top to bottom every couple days, and pick up after the tiny tornado
Don’t do everything in one day
biggest tip I can give is “Don’t Stress Over a Little Mess”
