This book has been written by Susan Walton to help bring some fun and adventure into the lives of families who have a child or children with autism. Coloring Outside Autism’s Lines has more than 50 activities and suggestions for fun filled adventures for families with children with autism. The pure focus of this book is fun, fun and more fun!

Of course, all new adventures require some planning. In Chapter 1, Walton walks parents through the various steps to planning certain outings that should be taken into consideration. By taking Walton’s advice, this will allow for more fun to be had as hopefully nothing will be forgotten!

Some of the activities suggested include Treasure Hunts, Fun in the Kitchen and various sporting fun and games. Walton provides many helpful suggestions for accommodations for different needs along the way. Some of the activities are simple ones that you may have already thought of, but there are sure to be new, creative ones that use things that you have never thought of before!
