Thank You, Mom!

Brought to you by Tylenol and TheCo.

Whether it was headaches, an achy tummy or a sore throat, my Mom was always there to take care of me when I was a child. I remember when I would stay home from school sick and I would lie in bed all day. My Mom would give me an old metal bell to ring whenever I needed her to make it easy to get her attention. She would bring me special drinks, a cold cloth and would take care of me as much as I needed her. She held my hair back when I was sick to my stomach, she would put a cold cloth on the back of my neck or my forehead and she would make me hot drinks for my sore throats. I have no idea how many trips she made up and down the stairs when I stayed home sick, but I have no doubt that she was exhausted at the end of the day.
Thank you Mom
My Mom did so much for me when I was sick and I honestly don’t know if I have ever thanked her properly. In hind sight, I should have thanked her each and every time she brought me something as well as each and every time I was sick. The problem is, when you are sick, your head isn’t on straight and most often don’t take the time to show your gratitude.

So, today, I am writing this post to thank you Mom, from the bottom of my heart.

Thank you for loving me.
Thank you for taking care of me.
Thank you for helping me when I was sick.
I appreciate your love and your care that you have given me over the years.

Being a Mom is not an easy job on a good day. Being a Mom to a child when they are sick is definitely not easy.
Thank you Mom

When was the last time (if ever) you thanked your Mom for taking care of you all of those times when you were sick?

Mothers truly are the best, they are always there when children or the husband is ill. They give tender, loving care and are often under appreciated. All mothers are wonderful 🙂

I remember my moms healing magic sometimes came out of a Vicks vapor rub jar. She would gently rub some on our forehead ,the mentholated scent made our eyes water. We couldn’t keep them open and fell asleep quick lol. Which would be a blessing I am sure as there were 7 of us kids and we usually got sick together, Ginger-ale and vicks

I had an accident when I was 18 and the accident left me a quadriplegic. My mother was at the hospital every day for a year without fail. She drove 1 hour each way, every day and brought me home on the weekend to take care of me herself. I wanted to die but she wouldn’t here any of it. She had her house made accessible for me and brought me home for good. Its now almost 28 years later and I’ve gotten married and done all the other things a girl dreams of doing. She is the best person I’ve ever known. Yes indeed THANK YOU MOM!
