Elimate the Need for Plastic Wrap with Abeego Natural Food Wraps

I have been on the hunt for a product that would reduce or better yet, eliminate my need for plastic wrap. Last year, while at the One of a Kind Show in Toronto, my Mom and I discovered Abeego.

Abeego makes natural food wraps created from pure beeswax, jojoba oil, and tree resin infused into a fabric made of hemp and certified organic cotton. It allows food to breathe which slows down the rate of decomposition.

Have you ever had a block of cheese that has gone slimy after opening because there is too much moisture? I have been trying to live a greener life for a few years now and one of the last areas to tackle was my use of plastic wrap. Of course, we use reusable containers for many things, but there are some situations where those just don’t work as well OR when we run out!

I was storing my opened cheese either in a resealable baggie OR wrapped in saran wrap. Not only was my cheese not lasting as long as it should due to excess moisture, but I always detested the way it felt every time I ripped off a piece of plastic wrap or grabbed a brand new resealable baggie.

Abeego is easy to use and care for. It has a natural stickiness to it from the BeesWax component that allows it to stick to itself. This makes wrapping foods and bowls easy!

Typically, my 6 Week Refrigerator Bran Muffin Mix gets a slightly darker, drier top coating when it sits in the fridge for more than 24 hours. My mix lasted a couple of weeks, looking just as fresh as it did on Day One thanks to Abeego.

Abeego is easy to wash as I simply use cold water and my Natural Dishwashing Liquid and it washes up beautifully. I drape it over dishes in my drying rack and it is good to fold up and put away or re-use immediately.
