It isn’t very often that I come across a Gift Idea that I KNOW every single child would love to receive. What child doesn’t love to receive mail? Do you know one? I certainly don’t. My children ask me every single day when I pick up the mail with them whether or not there is something for them.

When my son discovered that there was mail for him and not only was it mail, but it was a BOX with his name on it, saying that he was thrilled is an understatement! I happened to be taking care of my niece because my sister was having a baby when my son learned that there was mail for him. I had told my husband that I really wanted to open it with him so that I could take photos and to enjoy the experience with him. It was a major challenge, with being asked every few minutes, but hubby was able to hold him off from opening the box until I got home. There were many activities in my son’s box. We spread them out over the period of a week. He enjoyed having something to look forward to every day after school. I can’t tell you just how excited my son was to see one of OUR recipes in his Curiosity Box! We make these Banana Muffins (also see the Low Sugar Banana Muffin Recipe) almost on a weekly basis. They have become a staple in our house and my daughter now can make them all by herself. Now, my son has a chef’s hat and apron AND his own recipe card so that he can start to learn how to make them by himself. He feels so empowered and proud and it truly warms my heart!

Curiosity Box is a subscription box for kids aged 3 to 7. Depending on the age of child, some activities can be done independently and others need to be done with adult supervision and/or help. My son, who is six years old was able to do MOST of the box independently. While he seemed to be the perfect age for this box, I can see how children younger would also enjoy it with some adult supervision. AND, my 9 year old daughter watched with eyes fully of envy each day as my son opened up us Curiosity Box, so I could even see her really enjoying her own box.

One extra feature that I think is a fantastic option is the Sibling Add On. For an additional $11.95 per Single Curiosity Box, you can add a sibling add on which will give you a second FULL set of 3 crafts and 1 activity. This is brilliant for a family gift at the holiday season.

They also offer Party Boxes for people who are hosting an in-home birthday party and need activities for the children at the party. It saves you time because the box comes with all of the necessary implements to do two crafts and one activity for up to 8 children.
