Family Ideas for Literacy Day
- Read a book together
- Research something interesting online
- Cook or bake together while following a recipe
- Make a word scavenger hunt in your house
- Create a grocery list together
- Play restaurant with home made menus
- Put on a puppet show and create tickets to the show
- Do a word search
- Create a family story where everyone takes a turn adding a sentence (verbal or written)
- Play a game
- Make a family photo book and label everyone’s name
