My Family Took a @HondaCanada #HondaStaycation

Over the Christmas holidays, I had the opportunity to test drive a Honda Odyssey. Well, for the first few days, we were iced in, literally, so I couldn’t really drive anywhere! I was so bummed because I had this beautiful new van sitting in our driveway that I couldn’t drive anywhere!

BUT, once the ice storm came and left and once we finally dug and scraped our way out, I was loving driving this mini van around town with the family.

Out of the good handful of vehicles that I have had the wonderful opportunity to test drive, this felt like the most spacious one. My hubby and I aren’t small people, and there was so much room between us, it was CRAZY, in a good way!

When we packed up the van on Christmas Day to see my in laws, the kids had so much leg room and “goody bag” room (that is what we call their activity bags), I was very impressed. Also, I typically pack a vehicle to the MAX when we are travelling. I have been known to bring everything but the kitchen sink, but this time I did that and there was still room!

There were some smaller features that I really enjoyed too, like the handle on the inside of the back hatch to use to pull the hatch down so that you don’t have to get your hands dirty on the outside. That is one of my pet peeves with the van I currently drive because my hands get SO dirty when I close the hatch after getting groceries.

One of the other features that I loved was the convenience aspects of the front of the vehicle like where the drink holders were placed and the various storage areas. Hubby especially appreciated the pull out tray for snacks while driving (to help keep him awake).

The family and I also enjoyed a beautiful Honda Staycation over the holidays. Our favourite activity was heading out in the Odyssey to see the movie Frozen at the local movie theatre. I wanted to catch a photo of us in the parking lot, but it was during that major cold snap and my fingers literally would have fallen off!
