Toe Gifts ~ a Family Tradition

This is the time of year when many traditions and memories are made. One of my most favourite traditions in our family is the opening of our stockings. We used to open them on Christmas morning, but I we found that stockings take a LONG time to open and our kids just didn’t have the attention span, so we decided to move it to Christmas Eve.

My husband started a new tradition a few years ago of putting a “toe gift in the bottom of each of our stockings. A toe gift goes in at the bottom of the stocking and is a very special gift, with more thought than the rest of the stocking.

This year, I am VERY excited about my kids’ toe gifts!

My son will be getting this as his toe gift:

This LEGO Light Switch is from ThinkGeek.com, a truly, amazingly, fun online store where you could spend hours upon hours!

My daughter will be getting these:

These earrings are from a BEAUTIFUL online children’s online jewelry store called Chanteur Designs.

I’m still working on hubby’s toe gift and he also reads my blog, so I wouldn’t want to spoil any surprises!

What item would you want for your toe gift?

Do you have any favourite holiday traditions?
