FUN EVENT – June 5th, 2013 On Wednesday, June 5th, Food Network’s John Catucci will be hosting Dine & Dish with Dawn – a pop-up poutinerie at Yonge-Dundas Square in Toronto, where the poutine is free if you clean your own dish with Dawn Ultra. That’s right; if you eat it –you clean it!
I created my very own Poutine a la Stroganoff recipe because it was the perfect food to put Dawn to the test!
- frozen french fries
- meatballs
- cheese curds
- brown gravy (or your own stroganoff sauce)
Directions:
Step 1:
Cook frozen french fries in the oven until done (follow instructions on bag)
Step 2:
Put cooked meatballs (don’t have to be hot, can be out of the fridge, must not be frozen) on top of fries.
Sprinkle with cheese curds.
Bake in oven for 10 minutes at 350° F.
Step 3:
Prepare gravy/stroganoff sauce.
Step 4:
Pour gravy/sauce over top of french fries, curds and meatballs.
After you have enjoyed your delicious poutine, the clean up begins! We used Dawn and let the dirty dishes soak for 5 minutes in hot, soapy water before we began. The clean up was very easy. The grease simply wiped right away.
