Breakfast & Snacks with Kelloggs {REV!EW}

Do you struggle getting your children fed in the morning? Breakfast is such an important meal as it gets our brains and bodies going for the day. Especially with it being school time again, getting our childrens’ bodies ready for the day is an important step to success at school.

Breakfast Cereals Canada has put out a Morning Crunch Time “Thrival” Guide that is definitely worth checking out! There are some tips for making breakfast time more manageable along with some great food ideas!

Recently, as part of the Kelloggers Network, we tested out some new cereals and snacks!

Kelloggs Krave is a new cereal made with 8 whole grains and is a source of fibre. It comes in two flavours: Double Chocolate and Chocolate and is quite tasty. Although this is not a cereal that will be in our cupboards often, it is definitely a nice treat. It also makes a tasty snack! It does satisfy the salty/sweet “craving” that we all get on occasion.

Special K Low Fat Granola Cereal has 50% less fat per serving than the leading competitive granola. It’s a high source of fibre and contains 7 grams of protein per serving. I love Granola cereal, but I tend to stay away from it and only buy it as a treat because of it’s fat content. Now, I don’t have to worry so much because of this new low fat option! It is delicious and has the same crunchy consistency of traditional granola.

My favourite new product by Kelloggs are the Special K Crisps that now come in two new flavours: Chocolate and Cinnamon Brown Sugar. They are crispy with a delicious soft filling on the inside. They have only 100 calories each and help to portion control your snacks and help you to manage your weight. My favourite flavour is the Cinnamon Brown Sugar, yum! I carry one of these (sometimes more) in purse at all times as they make a great snack.
