MTM’s Royal Icing
5 cups icing sugar
1/4 milk
1/4 cup light corn syrup
Food colouring if needed/wanted
Note: If you are using the Royal Icing to flood cookies, you will need to water the icing down with more milk.
Mix all ingredients with an electric mixer and let sit for a few minutes before using. This icing will harden.
I usually buy ready made icing from the Bulk Barn but this icing recipe looks easy enough for simple cake decorator like me.
I started making royal icing when I was a teenager….I was very into baking and all things related!
