I want to take a moment to welcome you! All of you – Canadians, Americans, friends from over seas, where ever you may come from – WELCOME! You are ALWAYS welcome here. You always will be.

This post is about being Canadian. It’s to celebrate Canada and her birthday. Please join me in celebrating Canada’s 144th Birthday this year! For this celebration, I am sharing LOVE and HUGS and JOY and FOLLOWING to all of my internet friends, no matter where you are from because I like to include everyone!

However, the giveaways in this celebration are exclusive to Canada. Exclusivity is something that I, personally, have a VERY difficult time with. There was a time when I almost gave up on this blog because of the exclusivity of giveaways! But, I’ve learned that it is just part of life when it comes to giveaway blogs and I’ve learned to deal with it and here at Multi-Testing Mommy, every giveaway that I host will always be open to at least Canadians if not more (hopefully more). I don’t like to exclude anyone. Not here or in real life! In fact, if you ever want to list a giveaway on my Giveaway Listings Page, it MUST include Canadians!

Oh Canada, our home and native land……

I’m Canadian and very proud to be! When I first started blogging, I didn’t used to announce that I was Canadian, but throughout the past six years, I’ve met so many proud Canadian Mommy (and Daddy) bloggers and it made me realize that I need to announce from the mountain tops that I AM CANADIAN AND I AM PROUD TO BE!

Ok, so the latest Canadian sports occurrence that shall go unnamed with the embarrassing behaviour of some Canadians is more than a disgrace, but typically, there are many, many Canadians who represent our country so well!

I am proud to be a part of a country with some very talented musicians like The Tragically Hip, Sarah McLachlan, Shania Twain, The Barenaked Ladies and my daughter’s favourite, Nikki Yanofsky – there are so many, I can’t possibly list them all – these are just a few of my favourites.

I am so thankful to live in a Country where there is peace. Where we can walk on our streets and feel safe (yes, we still have to be careful, but I’m talking big picture here). Where our children can play outside and know the sounds of birds and laughter.

I love our land, Oh Canada! I am so thankful to live here and will not for one single day take for granted the fact that I am so fortunate to be living in such a beautiful place.

    I love being Canadian. It is great to come from a country that is respected and loved throughout the world. I travel a lot and when people find out that I am Canadian, the service is wonderful.

    One time I was in Holland. I was eating in a restaurant and when the waiter found out that I was Canadian, he refused to let me pay for my meal.
