I’ve got another “dirty little secret” to share with you. I suppose it’s more like a cleaning tip, or some might simply choose to call it craziness, but it works for me!
In order to keep our shower clean and to prevent me from having to scrub it down as often, we dry it out after every shower.
Here’s how it works. We take one of those amazing rags that holds lots and lots of water–I’m not promoting a certain brand here because many different brands will work just fine. (Note: If you happen to win my contest though, you should receive something that will do the trick!) After we are finished showering, we take a squeege and scrape the door. Then we use the rag and we wipe down all of the walls, squeezing out water after every wall. I am amazed how much water there is!
What this does is:
a) Eliminates the need for a shower spray (which still had orange mould growing in our shower)
b) Elminates any residue on our glass shower door–seriously, I don’t know if I’m ever going to have to clean it again, I’m not joking here!
c) Dramatically increases the amount of time between serious shower cleanings! I love this one as I HATE scrubbing down the shower.
Note: I still have to scrub the floor just as often, but I don’t seem to mind that job!
This “chore” only takes about 20 seconds out of my morning routine and it is well worth to me! No mould growing in the shower to look at and no need to scrub down the walls with heavy duty, stinky cleaners on a regular basis!
