If I were to tell you that we have some pretty serious Star Wars fans in our household, it would definitely be an understatement. Star Wars plays a part in our daily lives around here as hubby, the kids AND I all have the Topps Star Wars Card Trader App and we chase and trade cards on a daily basis.
SO, when I was invited to attend the LIVE Star Wars: The Force Awakens unboxing event to kick off Fan Expo in Toronto, I definitely had some eager people who wanted to attend with me.
This event spanned from Sydney to San Francisco and was streamed LIVE for 18 hours on the Star Wars Youtube Channel. Two amazing Star Wars toys were unveiled at 9am ET at the John Bassett Theatre in the Metro Convention Centre. The event was hosted by Canadian YouTuber Corey Vidal and the toys were unboxed by Martin Glaude (Quill18) – I loved their enthusiasm and energy!
The brand new Star Wars: The Force Awakens merchandise will be on shelves as of 12:00am on Friday, September 4.
Waking up extra early was good training for our back to school routine and Star Wars was more than enough incentive to get the children up and at ’em at the crack of dawn.
We saw two amazing remote control toys revealed. It was a magical experience and of course, the kids would like to head straight to Toys R Us tonight to get them. Sometimes tells me, these might be on a wish list or two this upcoming holiday season!

Star Wars Force Friday?
This post was written in partnership with Force Friday. While the FORCE is with me, it had no impact on my opinions in this post.
It’s an excited Friday for me because my husband and I our celebrating our anniversary.
Happy Anniversary! How many years?
i love star wars and watched every minute of the unboxing
Did you see me? 😉
So excited about this. HUGE fans of Star Wars! We plan on watching the whole box set this weekend!
How did it go?!
Best laid plans… we didn’t make it through the ENTIRE set… it was too nice outside, but we did spend many a happy hour on the sofa enjoying the first two!
That’s a start!
no wonder the merchandise was flying off the shelves…..
I’m not a huge fan of Star Wars, but I love the two new toys, and there is some family members that would go all gaga over them..lol
Yup! I have a few family members who did go GAGA over them 😉
I am sure the Remote Controlled Toys will be very popular this fall and Christmas. I know several people are fans and love anything connected with Star Wars.
My husband would go nuts for that remote controlled Millennium Falcon Quad
I’m pretty sure that the Remote Controlled Millennium Falcon Quad is probably on my son’s (an adult!) wish list for Christmas – he’d go nuts if he got it 🙂
I can see by the photo that you are a big Star Wars fan, you are literally beaming your enthusiasm across the country 🙂
