Creating Family Memories in a Happy and Mindful Home

Have you heard of SimplyFunFamilies.com? It is a website full of Inspiration and Ideas for Simple Family Fun!

Since meeting Karen, the owner of Simply Fun Familes, I have become even more inspired to enjoy special moments with my children. Sometimes in creative ways and sometimes in very simple ways, but we all need to cherish many moments with our children. They grow up so fast, don’t they and we don’t want to miss out on each and every special moment.

Karen has shared two wonderful tips for creating family memories in a happy, mindful home:

Tip #1: Find a quote that resonates with you and place it in a prominent place in your home. It could be on your wall, it could be as the wallpaper on your computer, but put it somewhere where you will see it and be reminded of your goals, dreams, missions, whatever it is you choose for your focus.

Here is Karen’s quote that she has placed on a prominent wall in her home:

Your quote should serve as an inspirational visual reminder that offers perspective for both easy days and busy days.

Tip #2: Find a “go-to activity” that gets you to push pause and reconnect with your kids on a regular basis. For me, this is sitting down and enjoying a nice book together.

If you need some help with some good, inspirational quotes, perhaps you might choose one of the quotes below. You can click on the quote you like the best and print it. You can frame it or put it on your fridge, but let it be a reminder about how precious those special family moments are in your life.

I love the quotes, it really is true that we should enjoy each day as best we can. Don’t let the little things get you down, take time to play/talk to the children and enjoy! Before you know it they’ll be adults and will fly your nest to make their own way in the world.
