Who wouldn’t love $100 in FREE gift cards?

Here’s the scoop…
When you sign up for one of two MBNA credit cards: Cash Back – MBNA Smart Cash MasterCard OR Low Balance Transfer – MBNA Platinum Plus MasterCard, you have the opportunity to receive up to $100 in FREE giftcards!

I’ve made some of the “small print” a bit bigger for you….
According to RateSupermarket.ca:
After signing up and being approved, users get to choose a free $25 gift card from over 50 options. Once they spend $150 on their card within 60 days of account opening, they will get an email asking them to choose another free gift card, this one worth $75.That is a grand total of $100 in free gift cards, PLUS the credit card perks speak for themselves.
RateSupermarket.ca has crunched some numbers and the average Canadian (w/ average household spending and average debt levels) would get an additional ~$300 in cash rewards by switching to the Smart Cash card, and would save an average of ~$475 in interest payments by switching to the Platinum Plus card.
To help you make an even more informed decision, RateSupermarket.ca has a helpful tool that has recently launched which compares all cards in the market against these two MBNA cards.
