Last Friday, I had the privilege of attending WeDay, an annual event organized by the Canadian charity Free The Children. There were 20000 students at the Air Canada Centre who were empowered, inspired to be the best that they can be, entertained and encouraged to help others in this world who are less fortunate!
WeDay was honestly the most inspirational event I have ever attended. I walked away feeling inspired, proud of the students and in awe of the sheer magnitude of energy that these students possessed.
We Day is part of a family of organizations, including Free The Children and Me to We, that has a shared goal: to empower a generation to shift the world from ‘me’ to ‘we’—through how we act, how we give, the choices we make on what to buy and what to wear, the media we consume and the experiences with which we choose to engage. – See more at: www.weday.com.
You too have the power and ability to make a difference, to change the world from ‘me’ to ‘we’ and it all starts this Saturday! Think ahead to holiday gifts and purchase a box of Me to We Cards! Not only will you give a gift to someone you care about, but you will give the gift that keeps on giving!
The card collection is part of Me to We’s Track Your Impact initiative, whereby each card makes a positive impact on the world by giving a gift, such as clean water, seeds for farming or school supplies, to communities and families in need overseas.
What: Launch of Me to We Cards with Craig Kielburger, and the world-renown The Kenyan Boys Choir
Craig will be signing cards and Me to We books for purchase, while the Kenyan Boy’s Choir performs four of their powerful songs
Where: Indigo in the Eaton Centre, Toronto
