Are you looking for a super easy and fun craft to keep your kids busy on a rainy day?
Today over at Mom vs the Boys, I have shared a post for how to make your own Paint Chip Bookmarks!
This is a super easy craft for children of all ages as it can be made simple for the wee ones and more difficult and intricate for the older kids!
All you need is:
- paint chip strips
- embroidery thread
- fancy/fun hole punches
- stickers, fancy punched out shapes (from the paint chips) or fancy jewels if desired
- white glue if using fancy jewels
For directions for how to make these super easy and fun bookmarks, please visit Mom vs the Boys for my post.

Oh, I love this idea! My daughter is crazy about paint chips for some reason … always wanting to take them home and keep them. She would love this bookmark idea!
I love this idea. My kids grab paint chips everytime they see them so this would make a good use of all the paint chips hanging around
What a simple and fun idea! I bet my kids would have a ball picking out the colours at the hardware store… so much selection. Thank you for posting this!

So cute! I love this idea and will have to make sure to bookmark it because I have a little girl who turns 8 this Summer and she actually does want a sleepover, so doing this as one of the crafts will help pass time! 😉
I really like the idea of the unslumber-slumber party, brilliant indeed! 😀
Super cute, my girls love to read and we often make book marks. This would also be a super birthday loot bag idea.
This is a great idea! I see a rainy day activity coming up-
Oh cool! We have a bunch of those paint chips; I’ll have to give this a try!
I used to have dozens of those laying around. Now I do not. Guess I need to visit Home Depot!
What an awesome idea! And with all the colour choices the kids can personalize for a useful gift idea! There are some cute Mickey Mouse head paint chips that would fun to try with this.
I love this craft it is so beautiful…
I think this is so fun and *ahem* cheap, I might get the girls to do it for their next sleepover. Thanks
I have all the items necessary to do this and it looks like its something that even my three year olds would enjoy. Besides, I need some extra ones as mine keep “disappearing”. Always love all your creative ideas.

This is so simple and a great way to reuse paint chips that you might have lying around.
