Booster Seat Safety with @MapsGirl

My good friend, Wendy from funny things are everywhere, is a Car Seat Technician. She is the girl who I called when our van broke down during a road trip last summer and I had to get some questions answered about transferring my son’s car seat to the Tow Truck! She provided me with so many great tips about purchasing a new car seat and whether or not my son was ready for a booster.

Last week, Wendy wrote a post about Booster Seats and the laws in Ontario. She emphasized the 5 Step Test that your child should take in order to prove that they are ready to move out of a booster seat. You might be surprised that while your child might meet one of the required criteria, they still may not be safe unless they are sitting in a booster seat.

Wendy’s article on the 5 Step Test is a must read for all parents!

    Thanks for sharing!!!

BC laws are over 4’9″,or over 9 years and they only have to be over 40lbs! My son is 10 but less than 4’9″ so he still uses a booster seat.

Great post Wendy — in all honesty, I don’t have a need for the info, but that photo seems quite helpful!

  4. I think the photo and article are a huge help to parents who are deciding whether their children are to big for a booster seat. My nephew stayed in one until grade 3.
