Sometimes after you have written and shared a post with your readers for a specific company OR after a giveaway has ended, the company will ask you for specific stats for that post. There are many different tools that a blogger can use to track their stats, but one of the most common, trusted and accurate sources is Google Analytics. If you do not have this set up on your blog, be sure to go do that now!
Step by Step Guide How to find stats for individual posts using Google Analytics
- Go to Content–>All Pages
- In the search bar, copy and paste PART of the URL of the post that you want to track.
- Press enter
For example, if I wanted to know the individual hits on this specific post:
http://www.multitestingmommy.com/2013/04/friday-recipe-round-up-april-12th.html
I would only copy this part to put into the search box:
/2013/04/friday-recipe-round-up-april-12th.html
and then press “Enter” to pull up the stats on that post.
Many different stats will show up for that specific post, but most often, the number they are looking for is the Visits for that post.
I’ve also written a post about how to find your Monthly Pageviews using Google Analytics that you might be interested in reading.
I have read both posts on this subject. I would like to say a big ‘thank you’. I will be sure to check this out once I have my website up and running “)
Thanks Amanda, your tutorials are always useful. I’ll bookmark it for when I forget later tonight 😉
