Lean Cuisine Fresh Inspirations

I’m always on the look out for healthier alternatives for meals that are frozen but can be turned into fresh within minutes. These types of meals are great when I don’t have enough enough time to prepare a meal for myself or when I am out of healthy food options and am in desperate need to go grocery shopping and I am in need of a meal that has protein, vegetables, starch and of course, FLAVOUR!

I’ve been introduced to Lean Cuisine Fresh Inspirations, a collection of Frozen Entreés.

This time, instead of the food all being in one container, they have a unique Simmer & Steam design that cooks each ingredient the way it is meant to be cooked, while allowing you to have control over just how much sauce will be added to your meal.

The protein portion SIMMERS in the sauce, infusing it with flavour and keeping it moist while the STEAM locks in the fresh taste and texture of the vegetables and rice or pasta, keeping it just the right texture.

These frozen meals are such a convenient way of bringing your lunch to work with very little effort while maintaining your health goals!

I tested out the Mediterranean Chicken dish. I really liked the ease of making this dish. I wasn’t too sure how hard it would be, but all that it took was a few minutes of cooking time separated by pouring the meat/sauce combo into the veggies and pasta! Easy peasy!

The taste was great – flavourful chicken with pasta that was cooked to perfection and vegetables that tasted fresh, not frozen! The only downside for me was that I had to accompany this meal with a salad (or another healthy choice) in order to feel fully satisfied hunger wise.

The number of different varieties allows you to have a good selection to choose from. A different option for every work day of the week if you choose!

I’ve had the Shrimp Alfredo (a couple times!) it’s so good!

I do like the lime beef one but there is sooooo much packaging and so little product. I don’t think it needs the separate sauce container, imo.

I tried the Thai Chicken and it was really tasty. I liked that the chicken was actual chicken and not that fake stuff you get in some frozen meals!
