Mickey and Minnie Mouse graciously welcomed us to Budweiser Gardens in London Ontario for the Disney On Ice presents 100 Years of Magic performance this weekend.

As per usual, this show was a fun and entertaining outing for my family to enjoy together!

I love how Disney and its magic can come to us, even in the middle of winter. We have not taken our family to Disneyland, something that my daughter reminds us of regularly. When we get the opportunity to attend a Disney event, I am all over it because it proves that the magic of Disney can happen anywhere and everywhere!

My son feels overwhelmed easily in new public situations, however, it was so nice to see that within minutes of the show starting, he was himself and was enjoying the show with a huge smile on his face. I loved watching his face literally light up with joy and surprise when the Toy Story scene began!

This time, we were even able to bring my 11 year old nephew along who enjoyed watching this show with his younger cousins. Every time a familiar song came on, all three kids looked over at me. As soon as they saw me dancing in my seat and singing along, it was so much fun to see them join in with me. Yes, I admit, I am a kid at heart! I truly enjoy these shows. I love the music, the dancing and seeing all of the familiar Disney characters come to life right before my eyes.

My favourite part of the whole experience, however, is seeing the looks on my childrens’ faces as their favourite characters skate onto the ice. It truly is like magic to see the sparkle in their eyes and the joy on their face.

We were very fortunate to have had this opportunity. We were also very lucky to have met up with an old friend whom we haven’t seen in two years. This made the show experience extra special.

These are memories that will last a life time.
