You can see Text Bands in action here:
My 7 year old daughter thought that these Text Bands were the coolest idea, but she was frustrated when her 3.5 year old brother didn’t understand how to play with them together. He was super good at the high fives and fist bumps to trade messages, but he is still a bit young to type out his own messages.
As a Mom – I was VERY impressed with the fact that these Text Bands had a “bad word filter”! If you type in a bad word, “Not Okay” comes up across the screen….nice!
These Text Bands are a terrific introduction into today’s technology for young children!
Currently, starter kits are what you need to begin which include a charcoal or purple starter band and a text module. It is possible to purchase individual bands in order to change it up with a funky new look without having to buy the whole kit. I do wish that these bands were sold in pairs because I do think that they would make a good gift, but kids really need to have a friend who has one in order to use them properly.
Text Bands would make a fun birthday gift and are available at your local Hallmark Gold Crown Store.

lol! Why do these remind me of other kid toy fads – like Tamagotchis or those kids frs radios? Glad your kids enjoyed them.
We were sent 2 and I love them too….but I gotta say I love them having them in 1s as well…b/c I could see in a few years things like this we would need 3 of it. I like when they don’t just assume everyone has 2 kids LOL. But I think it would be good to have a 2 pack, and a single pack option.
