One of the best ways to introduce healthy habits to your children is to lead by example and take part in physical activities with your kids. If you’re looking for a great way to keep fit and healthy, cycling is a great activity for all ages.
One of Ontario’s top annual cycling events, Ride for Karen, features a free Kid’s Fun Ride (for ages 2 to 12) and 25km, 100km & 160km for parents or older children. Ride for Karen has raised more than $1.6 million to help send children with cancer to camp. Signing up for the ride today will give both parents and children motivation to stay active throughout the summer.
While not riding, kids will be able to participate in the many activities that will be set up, including jumping castles and face painting. Volunteers will ensure a safe and fun environment for kids, allowing parents and adventurous children the opportunity to participate in the longer events.
All families involved will make an immeasurable difference in their lives and the lives of children with cancer who are able to attend camp.
The ride takes place on Sunday September 9th, 2012 starting in Maple, Ontario.
