Let’s Get Healthy Together ~ Will PGX Change My Life?

A few of us have decided to share our Healthy Adventures with you in a weekly post called “Let’s Get Healthy Together”. Please join us in reading about our adventures and sharing yours OR by providing us some encouragement in the comments! We need it!

You can read my previous Get Healthy posts here to get all caught up. To get you up to speed, I’ve gained almost 10 pounds this summer! GAH!

Last week, I posted I’ll Show You Mine if You Show Me Yours where I showed pictures of my uncleaned/organized fridge and freezer. I would love for more people to link up! Don’t you want to be nosey and check out what my fridge looks like?!

Next week, I will be trying out a new product! I am going to start taking PGX to help me feel fuller longer and to help regulate my blood sugars. I have a variety of PGX products to try out including PGX Daily Softgels, PGX Daily Granules and SATISFAST, PGX & Whey Protein. I am looking forward to seeing how taking PGX changes how I feel! Stay tuned next week for an update!

Here is a cool video where Dr. Oz explains what sugars do to your blood stream and how fibre can help to level it all out! Check it out:

This summer, one of the things that I have done is not watched my sugar intake as much. This was a huge mistake because I have found that my moods haven’t been as stable and my cravings have been all over the place, ALL.DAY.LONG! I remember back to January when I first cut sugars out of my diet – it was like my cravings disappeared almost completely. The less sugar you eat, the less you crave it, it is so true! You just have to get over the initial first couple of days and it truly does get easier. So now, it’s my turn again to listen to my own words and cut out that sugar!

What is the one thing that you really need to limit or cut out of your diet?

Good review! I knew about PGX gelcaps for a few years but dismissed them as I cant swallow large pills. Dr. Oz’s video about the fiber sticks had made me curious to try this brand again.

  2. I think I need to limit chocolate. I can’t control the cravings – and then I just want more when I have it. Thinking on your sugar info that’s probably what it is. It’s the biggest source of sugar for me, and maybe I just need to eliminate it (for a while, I can’t give it up forever!) until I’m feeling the difference and know how I should feel, without the sugar swings.

I have started to taking it as well. Will be interested in seeing our comparison notes.

August 26-I’ve just read your post:”Let’s get healthy together. Will PGX change my life?”
I will be very interested in hearing how you do on this regime. Like you, I seem to crave sugar, especially sugar in chocolate. I will try to give it up for a while and see if the craving dies away. It would surely make my life and waistline better if I could!-el03ro

I need to replace about 6 cups of coffee a day with water.

  9. I need to stop eating so much ice cream. Dang pregnancy cravings!

September 8–I read the article on PGX but did not watch the video at that time. I reread the article today and watched the video with Dr.Oz for whom I have a great deal of respect. I am now going to try these capsules as I am fairly Dr. Oz would not knowingly lead one astray. Thank your for the article and especially for the video. Please give us an update to see how you are doing on this PGX.-el03ro

It’s definitely true that the less sugar you eat, the less you crave it — the first hump is the hardest and kudos to you.
