In any given day, how often do you say NO to your child vs how many times you say YES. Although I try to be conscious of limiting the amount of “No’s” that I use, I still say that word an awful lot to my children. Children don’t like to hear the word NO do they? I don’t blame them!
I try to use the word “maybe” more often then “no”. My three year old seems to deal with the word maybe much better than the word no because he understands that with maybe, there is a chance I might say yes. I only say NO when I truly mean NO!
Procter & Gamble’s Family Care brands – Bounty®, Charmin®, and Puffs® – along with Tide® and Mr. Clean®, invite you to take the It All Starts with Yes Challenge.
The Challenge: It’s easy — count the number of times you say ‘no’ in any given week or weekend, and then turn them into “Yes” opportunities. The result: more fun activities together such as baking, games, and arts and crafts!
Children LOVE to bake, play games and do arts and crafts, at least most children do. When I say no to one of these requested activities, it is often due to the mess they create or a lack of time.
In order to help you take the Yes Challenge, I would like to offer you the opportunity to win one of two Yes Kits filled with Tide® original liquid laundry detergent, a Mr. Clean® Magic Eraser, box of Puffs® facial tissue, Charmin® Freshmates, Bountry® paper towel, and adult and child-size aprons, along with ideas to create more fun-filled family moments. This package is valued at $50.00.
I encourage you to check out the It All Starts With Yes Facebook Page to take the Yes Pledge and to receive some coupons to help you say yes more often.
The Yes Pledge is super easy:
“I Pledge To: Join my kids in Trying, Doing, Learning, Living, Discover, Uncovering, Imagining, Exploring, Because I believe Little Adventures Create Big Smiles and It All Starts with YES!” copied directly from the It All Starts With Yes Facebook Page.
