Maybe it’s my computer addiction, maybe it’s laziness or maybe it is just about the convenience factor, but I have to say that over the past few years, I have thoroughly enjoyed many opportunities to shop online.
In fact, in 2011, other than groceries, I did more of my shopping on line than I ever have in the past.
For me, online shopping is the way to go and here is why:
- I don’t have to drag the children places that they have no interest in going to
- I can shop in my pyjamas in the comfort of my own home
- I can quickly find specific items or deals with a good old online search
- When purchasing larger sized or heavier items, someone else does the majority of the lifting
I have bought gifts, shopped for clothing and footwear and purchased larger ticket items too. What I also love about shopping online is the ability to find more unique items that I might not necessarily find in a store. This year, I have focussed on finding some great Canadian owned and run online stores. These stores are featured on my Canadian Online Shopping Directory. The only type of product that I am slightly hesitant to shop for online is clothing (including footwear) and this is due to sizing issues. If there is a convenient and FREE way of returning the product if it doesn’t fit, I am all for purchasing the item online. I will, however, have a more difficult taking a gamble with regards to fit and size if the return policy is not great. This year, I anticipate doing even more shopping online. As more stores make it easier to shop online and as more websites that are on line only exist, the more I am encouraged to do my shopping online.
I am participating in a blog campaign for Bucks2Blog for an ecommerce solution company and was compensated. However, the views and opinions aremy own.

I just wrote about this … this morning too… taking my daughter shopping can be a nightmare… okay not can be.. but is right now.
I love shopping online too… though I have never bought shoes online because I’m always too afraid that they won’t feel right and that I’ll be annoyed trying to figure out the return process. I’m sure if I looked into it better, it wouldn’t be as hard as I imagine it is… but I have a mental block over figuring out the return policies so I tend to just shop for what I know I won’t need to return! LOL.
